Are you ready to take your shoes' shine to a whole new level? Saphir Medaille d'Or Mirror Gloss is the answer to the demands of professional shoe shiners and true enthusiasts – it is a special wax developed exclusively to achieve one goal: creating a perfect, glass-like mirror shine.
This is not an ordinary shoe wax. Mirror Gloss is the result of meticulous development, combining only the hardest and shiniest natural waxes, such as montan, carnauba, and beeswax. Softer oils and greases have been intentionally left out of its formula to ensure a faster drying time and more effective shine formation.
The result is a wax that allows you to create a deep, durable, and above all, dazzling mirror finish on the toe caps and heels of your shoes.
Available options:
Black: Perfect for black shoes. It not only creates a mirror shine but also deepens the black color and covers even the smallest scratches, making the result uniform and deep.
Neutral (Colorless): A versatile choice for shoes of all colors. The neutral wax creates a stunning shine without altering the shoe's original shade, making it perfect for brown, cognac, blue, or any other smooth leather shoes.
What makes Mirror Gloss special?
Maximum Shine: The formula is optimized purely for shine, containing only the very hardest waxes.
Faster Working Time: It dries quickly, which speeds up the process of adding layers and achieving a mirror shine compared to traditional waxes.
Hard and Durable Surface: Forms an extremely hard protective surface that protects the leather from scratches and scuffs more effectively.
Professional-Level Result: Allows for the "spit shine" technique to be performed more easily and quickly, giving your shoes a professionally finished look.
Important to Know:
Saphir Mirror Gloss is a finishing wax, not a conditioning base wax. Due to its hard composition, it should be used only on the hard parts of the shoe that do not bend when walking (the toe cap and heel).
Instructions for a Mirror Shine:
Preparation: Ensure the shoe is clean and conditioned. For the best result, first apply Saphir Crème 1925 conditioning cream to the shoe.
Wax Application: Wrap a tight-weave cotton cloth around your index and middle fingers. Pick up a very small amount of Mirror Gloss wax on the cloth.
First Layers: Apply the wax in very thin layers to the shoe's toe or heel using light, circular motions. Do not use too much pressure. Let it dry for a moment.
Building the Shine: Using your fingertip, add a small drop of cold water to the waxed surface. Continue adding wax in thin layers and water drop by drop. Repeat this process patiently.
Finishing: Little by little, you will notice the surface transform from cloudy to glass-like. When you are satisfied with the shine, let the wax harden completely.
